Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford has been an American dancer, actress and performer since the beginning of the 1990s. Her first Broadway roles, she played in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. Her first Tony Award was given to Ashford for her performance as Essie Carmichael, in You Can't Take It With You. Tony Award-winning actor Annaleigh Ashford spent her career collaborating with acclaimed actors and directors across theatre and on television. she is continuing her award-winning project with various upcoming ones. Ashford in the near future will play opposite Kumail Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive series Welcome to Chippendales which premieres on November 22nd. Ashford is currently working for Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust with Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The film will be available through Disney's DTC platforms and will be available as a Hulu Original. Ashford's Broadway comeback will be in March 2023 when he is paired with Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail as director and Jeffrey Seller as producer will be the creative team for the musical. Ashford was Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story Impeachment, which is based on the scandal that involved Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp during the national crisis. Ashford was the main character in two seasons on CBS Comedy B Positive. It was developed by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. It also featured Ben Vereen and Hector Elizondo. Sunday in the Park with George Wicked legally blonde and the originating part of Lauren of Kinky Boots were among her other Broadway roles. She was born and grew up in Denver Ashford now splits her days between Los Angeles and New York.
