Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, at Puy-deDomme, France on the 9th of August 1976. Audrey is the largest child in a family of four. The actress was inspired by her parents, dentist and teacher who were both teachers to follow her love of theatre. It was in stark contrast her earlier ambition to become a primateologist because she adored monkeys. Her fame grew as a child actress quickly and with huge popularity and success. In 1998 after her studies, she participated in the French program for scouting talent on TV called Jeunes Premiers which was sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors before beginning acting professionally. Tautou was a member of the church as well as the Institut Catholique de Paris during her youth, however she now dissociates herself from the aforementioned societal influences. In addition to acting, she has also been a model and the model of L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. Additionally, she is a keen interest in photography and recently produced an exhibition of her work at the Arles Festival, titled Superficial. In her photographs, she focuses primarily on celebrity and the spotlight. The camera is turned on journalists who examined her during her rise to the heights of fame in Amelie. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and acclaim with her big role in Le Fabuleux Destin in the film d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie was a global success at the box office and also won numerous awards across all over the world. It is the most successful French language film in the US. In the following year, she was a part of British dramas including Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. Then Tautou moved to Hollywood to work in Hollywood, where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
