Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12 November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej / Now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to score a 10 for a competition at the Olympics. Bela Karrolyi who was the Romanian gymnastics coach who became Comaneci's coach later in life she discovered her when she was six. At first, she competed in the junior national championships of Romania in 1969, she was 13th. And in 1970, won. Three gold medals were awarded in her first competition, a junior pre-Olympic meet in 1972 for communist bloc countries. Between 1973 and 1974 she won the junior all-round champion. At her first competition as a senior athlete in the year 1975, she bested the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva the five-time European champion, winning 4 gold medals and one silver. She was the first woman ever to perform the backwards double salto after dismounting from an unbalanced parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen Carol Wayne started working in the entertainment field by performing in the form of a figure skater. Along with her younger sister Nina Wayne she was part of the traveling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol started her professional career as an entertainer during her teenage years. Her first job was as a model skater with her sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around called Ice Capades. The shows featured skaters who were accompanied by theatrical music.
