Richard B. Cheney has worked as a public official for a long time as well as a successful businessman. He currently serves as the Vice President of the United States. He also worked for the United States Congress as Secretary of Defense, and served the country in a variety of positions. It's clear that he is a man with integrity, who has the respect of all Republicans as well as Democrats. Cheney stated that he sees the role of an honest yet discreet advisor to the Bush administration. When he accepted the Republican vice-presidential nod Cheney said that he is looking forward to serving with a president who will work to achieve his goals by working across the political aisle and working with political opponents to achieve a mutual goals. Richard Bruce Cheney (born January 30th 1941) was the son Richard Herbert Cheney. His mother, Marjorie Lauraine Dickey had been wed to Richard Herbert Cheney for over thirty years. In 1941, when Richard Bruce Cheney was 13 years old the family of Richard Bruce Cheney moved from Lincoln Nebraska to Casper Wyoming in the state where his father was the head of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's regional conservation districts.
